I just met up with some friends who took me to a stunning little store on 104st. it's a MUST SEE. it's called 29 Armstrong and you are in for a treat. they are a fairly new home store that carries designer house wares and from the looks of it, some local designer finds too.
when you walk inside you will get a sneak peak of what I want my future home to look like. it's fabulous. gorgeous drawings hung on the raw brick wall. beautiful black and white tile in the foyer. it's stunning. I didn't have my camera, so I couldn't sneak any photos, but just swing by... this way I won't spoil the treat of this fabulous store!

if you didn't already know, marc jacobs is my dream. he's my favorite designer and the best thing about him, is he started marc by marc jacobs making his beautiful pieces that much closer for a little graphic designer, aka me, to afford (when on sale).
during my lunch breaks, I like to take a walk... a walk to Holt Renfrew... just to visit all the pretty things that are ridiculously over priced, but still fun to look at. so last week, I ventured down there to meet a friend, naturally I hit up the marc jacobs section first and to my dream there was a sale rack, a marc sale rack!
a marc dress called my name, I swear quite literally, but it was still too expensive but the lovely Melissa (whom is a marc by marc jacobs specialist!!) ran the tag and it was double discounted! (such a fabulous term, I wish everything I wanted was "double discounted") so if you are from the lovely edmonton, head on over to Holt for their glorious sale. the NOW or NEVER sale will start in about a month... meaning lots of sales but slimmer selection. that darling little taupe and red dress you see in the first image there is on sale just waiting to be worn, I'd love to have it but my size is already gone... blast.
p.s. mr. blue trench... I love you.

so, did I mention that I might be going to New York at the end of the month? yeah, I just found out myself. it's tentative as I'm waiting on my sister to book her plane ticket, lucky duck is going for work?! I wish my company would send me to fabulous places like NY ;) hint hint.
since this is so last minute, I'm very anxious... I know, it's not definite yet, but c'mon, it's New York! the city of fashion, art, architecture, love. being that it's my first visit and I'm on a time crunch, I would appreciate all the help/tips from those who have been there! cross your fingers that I get to go!
happy friday friends.

I was asked to be my best friends maid of honor for her wedding just 2 months ago... the special date for the two love birds is in july?! 'tis the season right? I've been knee deep in invitation designing, party planning and vintage inspiration. I'm planning, what I'm hoping will be, the most incredible bridal shower of my time. the wedding itself is will be a mix of rich colors and patterns... a vintage contemporary vibe. so, naturally, I'm planning a vintage contemporary shower... with a 1920's flapper girl flare with a focus on hats. I just love hats. I could possibly be the mad hatter in Alice in Wonderland.
some killah inspiration that I just had to share: kankalin hats... simply stunning hats and beautiful photographs.
j'adore! the sartorialist is my new favorite blog. OH how I would love to just approach stylish edmontonians and document their fabuloso fashions.
here are two of my favorite recent pics from the sartorialist. so vintage, yet contemporary. so chic. the images are so crisp, so clean against such stunning backgrounds which almost juxtapose the outfits. hearts!
